Rikki Swannell, a Kiwi from Auckland, is the main overseas reporter for DLI Radio Sport.
She joined the company in 2005 after spells with Radio Sport & Newstalk ZB in New Zealand. She somehow ended up working full time for DLI Radio Sport but neither Dave nor Rikki have any idea how this happened. But it seemed to work well despite the odd disagreement which always centred around what was for lunch.
Rikki has covered for DLI Radio Sport - the Hockey World Cups in Germany and Spain, Badminton's Thomas and Uber Cups in Japan, the world championships in Spain and many tennis, snooker and darts events in the UK. She also reports, alongside Dave, at the Australian Open Tennis Championships every January in Melbourne.
Rikki's versatility is underlined by her wide experience as a senior reporter, sub-editor and breakfast newsreader, covering all sports - sometimes commentary - at various rugby, basketball and netball matches.
